Just want to see what NHL teams will look like in 3 years (even if it's pretty tough to know because the teams still have 3 years of draft and trades! But it's just a fin exercice to do)
As a Habs fan, I got to say that I really like our prospect. I think they gonna be great! (I'm not an prospect expert so for you Montreal fans, you can do another canadiens team and we will compare!)
Hope we can see the 30 teams on this boards!

Zednik - Koivu - Kostsitsyn
Plekanec(from C to LW) Ribeiro - Perezhogin
Bulis- - Chipchura - Ryder
Higgins- - Begin - Ward

Markov - Komisarek
Souray - Hainsey
Yemelin (I like this guy) Bouillon

Theodore
Danis

Out: Brisebois, Bonk, Sundstrom, Rivet, Dagenais
In: Hope a 3rd liner for Chipchura -don't think he will be ready- (Maybe we will keep bonk)
A top D-Man

What the Canucks might look like:

D.Sedin-H.Sedin-Bertuzzi
King-Morrison-UFA
Cooke-Chubarov-Kesler
Ruutu-Smith-Bouck

Allen-Niedermayer;)
Ohlund-Bieksa
Koltsov/Edler-UFA

Auld
UFA

Pretty much impossible to tell what a team will look like just 3 years from now, especially heading into an uncertain CBA.

Well he will finish his 4 years of college and that will eb the soonest he will try for the NHL team. IMO, he will make a presence on the team in 4-6 years.

Hartnell (26) - UFA pickup - Sullivan (34)
Erat (26) - Legwand (27) - Radulov (21)
Walker (34) - Shafigullin (23) - Upshall (24)
Pivko (28) - Fiddler (28) - Tootoo (25)

Timonen (33) - Hamhuis (25)
Suter (23) - Zidlicky (31)
Weber (22) - Klein(23)/Hutch(28)

Vokoun (32)
Finley (26)

I'm probably a little aggressive in the development of some prospects. Expecting Radulov to be a second liner is pushing it. Ditto with Shaf at the 3rd line center spot.

i think you should switch Plekanek and Higgins to have something more accurate...

I would see probably both Koronev and Archer being potential fit at the blue line

Not too shabby, you really seem confident in Trubachev though Patrick, I'm not so sure, I wonder if Yelle would still be around then, he'd be 34 or in three years right? I don't know.

I won't do my favorite team, the Avs, because if I think about the future, I will cry. I'll do my hometown team, the Caps.

Not too bad, and I believe at that time, we'll still have ~10 prospects from the current crop with a chance to be good NHL players. Players like Daigneault, Bourque, Klepis, Johansson, Schultz, Werner, Barthel, Guggisberg, Salonen and Yunkov will still be very young(21-24, the lot of them). If we get a top 5 pick in the next draft, we could nab another franchise player to go along with Ovechkin. I believe Crosby, Johnson, Pouliot, Ryan and Brule all have the potential to be that player. Couple that with a potential crap finish this year, and we could have a potential power-house 5 or 6 years down the road. GMGM's plan to unload own high-priced talent could work out very well if we sign the right players to support and mentor our young potential. Obviously, theres a lot to look forward to for caps fans, and especially the prospect junkies that visit HF.

You don't think the Pens will make any big FA signings?

The wild will not spent much on FA's. We will probally be around the salary cap floor. We will sign our top own players to keep that unity, but to go out and get a big name i do not see it.

My take:

PM Bouchard- O'Sullivan - Gaborik
Dupuis- Wallin - Irmen
Veilleux - Koivu - Foy
Boogaard - Courchaine- UFA
Extra: Voloshenko, Draftee

Schultz - Mitchell
Thelen - Burns
Stoner- Michalek
Reitz

Harding
UFA

Notes:
1st Line: This will be a good defensive line but more importantly they have speed and skill and could see good points.

2nd line: I like this line, it's a mini-first line with a solid PFer but not elite in Irmen, a solid center and a good left winger. They won't get a lot of points but still enough to warrant a second line.

3rd line: Grind line, Koivu and Veilleux are going to be awesome as a shut down line. Foy is big and I don't see him scoring a lot of points. He should use his body more for shutting down other opponents. I could see him and Bouchard though pairing up and making a damn good combination.

4th line: Boogaard will be ready by then. Big guy and still developing. Johnson will probably be in the twighlight of his career. Courchaine won't see a lot of time if any. We'll see a few FAs but Minnesota is STOCKED in some good players.

Extra: I think Voloshenko will fit into the NHL in about 2-3 years. He'll spend some time next year in the RSL and then probably come over after that.

Defense: I don't like slotting Schultz in at number 1 but Burns and Thelen are still developing. Mitchell is probably our best defenseman if he continues to develop his game. Zyuzin is too streaky and Kuba is an okay but effective marshmellow but I could see him being traded for Stoner and Michalek (another okay but effective marshmellow of a defenseman). Reitz makes a strong complimentary defenseman.

This team I think will be sick.

No chance for Valtonen to be ready for a grinder role?

Last I heard Witt was 50.50 on returning this year and Olie was almost a lock to be moved. Ouellet has been waiting and Kolzig is aging quickly.
