I have watched big Joe a little bit in the past 2 years, I think he will end up as a 2nd line center but he does have the potential to be a tweener 1st/2nd line guy.

His play may remind some people of Joe Thornton, but he will never be that good. But, realistically, how many players are that good?

Big guy who is learning to use his size better, a lot like Blake Wheeler but not as good as Wheeler so far.

Its funny how Leaf trollers are coming here saying when we get a prospect we make him God even though the truth is when we get a prospect he turns into garbage and when a player is on the Leafs he is **** but once he becomes apart of another team he is amazing.

Sad trolls.

This board has gone to crap. Ridiculous amount of trolls come in to post their senseless comments. So many here saying Joe Thornton, 15-15, lucky to make it, w/e. Any of you watch him play?

If you haven't, don't talk about something you have no idea about. Tired of going through threads trying to find some useful info, only to find stupid troll posts.

Whatever the case good start for him! Scores to cut the Griffins lead down to 2-1. Good beginning for Big Joe.

For those who've actually seen him play a fair bit, what do people think of Antropov as a comparison?

He skates well, has excellent vision and playmaking ability. If he weighs in at 230 in a few years and learns to use that frame than he could be a good one. He's a boom or bust, imo. Certainly an interesting prospect to have
