What is going on in Sweden junior leagues?

I think J20 will be shut down to get them over the line for world junior camp: J18 shut at least until December, then the south opens.

Depends on the region. Most U15 (and younger) leagues will probably stay open. Maybe some U16 as well.
No j20 Nationell or J18 Elit hockey will be played until Jan 1 however.
Has there been plenty of Covid breakouts on J20 and J18 teams which drove them to make this decision?

There was (and still is) regional restrictions disallowing people born before 2005 to practise and play games together (all sports) unless they are paid professionals. That lead to a lot of postponed games, which lead to the decision to paus the leagues.

Top players in J20 could get loaned div.1 or Allsvenskan. The rest will have to find new hobbies.

However, shutting down junior leagues doesn't mean the teams won't play any games. We will probably see practice games later this spring, perhaps some regional series if I had to guess.
