I think Draisaitl is absolutely fantastic and deserved to sweep the awards last year. I could see him win more in the future again.

But I get the sense he wouldn't have developed into the player that he is without having the chance to play with McDavid. He'd still be pretty good i'm sure, but he'd be nowhere top ~2-5 player in the league good.

Besides - so long as we're doing what ifs, may as well find a scenario where we land McDavid instead...

Second prize would be a set of steak knives sterilized and shrink wrapped in a COVID-repellant material. Street party to end before curfew, obviously.
