In an effort to win the Cup, how about the Jets sign Daniel & Henrik Sedin after the new year for a number that works for them and fits us inside the cap. Henrik (C) last year scored 50 points in 82 games and Daniel (l) 55 in 81 games. Put them on the a line with Vesalainen, Elhers or on the 3rd line with Roslo. Big talent, still shifty, no Stanley Cup, doesn't cost us anything but salary.

Unlikely they sign with anyone. They'll probably just retire and live up their lives in Van now. Cup doesn't seem to be very high on their list of priorities.

I wouldn't mind signing them, but it's not happening. They want to only play in Vancouver (and are now retired).

These guys could give us the best 3rd (and therefore 4th) line in the history of the game. But they have no attachment to our city and seeing as a warm round of applause when they retired was a defining moment in their careers, there's no indication winning a cup is or ever was important to them. The cost (for anyone but the Canucks) to lure them out of retirement would likely be far greater than the return on investment.

If it costs more than $3m in actual dollars at the free agent deadline, they can stick to whatever old people do.

There's no "TEAM" in "Daniel and Henrik Sedin" but there is in "Lee Stempniak"!
Connor - Scheifele - Ehlers
Laine - Wheeler - Roslovic
Sedin - Sedin - Stempniak
Perreault - Little - Tanev/Copp
Vesalainen/Petan/Dano/Lemieux/Appleton/
Might need to kick Beyak and Hnidy out of the pressbox, but let's make it work!
