What has made Barys such a success this season?

How come Barys has become such a success this season? They beat Ak Bars 2-1 today, and they're behind just Ak Bars with one point and one game less played.

They haven't been in top before this season, the best record is 6th, and they don't have the best budget?

Is it the chemistry? The fans? There must be some factor behind their success!

Coach Selin?

It probably could have happened last season, it's just Krikunov wasn't the coach that roster needed.

Coach is one of the reasons for sure but they made solid additions to their roster as well. Ahonen, Antropov, Lundin. Now Hamill and Barker too. At the end of the day they have a very deep team. They must have a bigger budget compared to last year too since they are able to sign those players.

Also, the level of Eastern Conference slipped a little bit compared to 11/12 season when they had a very good team as well but also had Amur playing very good hockey, Avangard which went to the finals.. And also I guess that team lacked a decent coach and a really solid goalie.

Good management. They continue to build and are getting slightly better with every move. It just started to show this season.
