Eric Fichaud until he shows me different. ;)

let them earn the hype and the starter spot before the comparisons are made. I'll be looking to see him play this year, be assured. But conjecture and hopes, and the fact there are no sure things for many reasons (Jim Carey, Blackburn, etc)...should make one just sit back and see what unfolds.

Vokoun wasn't really that highly touted... And has more evident flaws than Kari does, and different strengths.

Maybe you´re right.
But I think we all can only judge about real strenghts and flaws after we see Lehtonen play a truckload of games in a season.

In 4 games you can see talent and skill, granted.
But you hardly can predict what this talent and skill does in the long run.
How does a losing stroke affect his poise ? Does he easily rebound from bad breaks ? Can he lead a defense that is less experienced that the current one ?
That sort of things..

But the guy gets his chance.
Let´s see what he does with it !
