I think these questions often depend on when one started watching hockey or how much one lets a very small moment of time color their perception.
Bourque is an extreme example and he comes to mind since he and Andreychuk were traded from Boston to Colorado, but getting the Cup handoff from Sakic at age 40 after little more than a season with the Avs is one of the all time great NHL moments and I think very few think of him as anything other than a Bruin. If that can't cloud people's minds, I don't see why Andreychuk skating around with the Cup at age 40 would see him winning 46% of the voting as of the time of this post.
I can understand the Leafs voting more than this to be honest.
