What ever happened to Andrei Kuchin?

A few years ago, he was hyped to be top-10, even top-5 for the '09 draft. He even played in the RSL at 16-17, but somehow ended up undrafted (too small, russian factor?).

He had a decent season last year in the USHL, but is now average to bad in the OHL with only six goals in 37 games (at 19, mind you!).

What was the issue? Injuries? Lack of motivation? Calabrese Syndrome?

What I remember from what I could find out at the time is that he was very impressed with himself and he had a major clash (I don't remember what) with his club coach....and this rubbed the powers that be in Russia the wrong way and he was blacklisted from any national teams.

It also didn't help his case that he stopped growing at 15, and developed a weight issue.
