Speculation: What do Craig Smith and Mikeal Granlund get on the open Market?

I'd take a chance on Granlund for one year at his current price, less if possible of course. If he wanted any term at all that AAV comes down by millions, to the possibility of not doing it at all.

Not a chance that Granlund gets 5M in today's financial climate. He'll be lucky to get 4M. He could end up being a good signing, as he has near elite hands, vision, and passing ability, but it's hard to ignore the past couple of seasons.

this. there isn't going to be a FA Frenzy this year, at least not like we (and the players) are accustomed to. put another way: what Jake Gardiner saw happen last year is going to be the rule, not the exception. this is going to be the softest market in modern history, and we are going to be shocked at some of the deals that get signed.
