What did everyone think of tonight's crowd???

Personally, I really thought the crowd was good. FAns were into it, building was loud, reminded of me leafs playoff hockey? Your guys thoughts? Is anyone willing to admit they were wrong about Toronto fans? Or was this another showing that paled in comparisson to the great Montreal crowd that some people boasted about.

Toronto was much much better tonight. I was much more impressed. I still think (probably because I'm a homer) that Montreal was better. They were going wacko for a Round Robin game. This was the toughest/sweetest game of the WC for Canada and it still a bit quieter.

It's not the city of Toronto or their fans fault. It's definately a hockey town. The place is just filled with too many suits making business deals.

I think it was a good game tonight...I was a little nervous because the Czechs outplayed us for most of the game. It was nerve-wracking but the ACC was pretty darn loud! It was great to see...FINALLY...the seats weren't empty at the beginning of the first OT. Obviously because it was OT but it was GOOD TO SEE!

Canada got a boost from the sellout crowd of 19,273, the loudest yet at the often quiet Air Canada Centre that fed off an enthusiastic rendition of O Canada by Paulina Gretzky, team executive director Wayne Gretzky's teenage daughter.

Damn right loud sellout crowd!

It's not the city of Toronto or their fans fault. It's definately a hockey town. The place is just filled with too many suits making business deals.

At least one Habs fan understands this :)

In 2002 I called ticket master in late October asking to get a pair of tickets for a Novermber 27th game on my birthday, and they said that seats were booked for the rest of the season.

Ok..lets not get into this argument again

you know what's funny? Gretzky's daughter isn't even Canadian and she sang our national athem :shakehead

I personally thought the team played like crap, but hey they pulled out the win when they needed it.

You want to know what's even funnier? The board ads.
Didja notice that there was an ad that just said "Viagra" and then to the right of it was one for U.P.S.? But it didn't have the periods, so when the camara went by, it looked like it said "VIAGRA UPS" ... talk about truth in advertising, eh??

That guy creeps me out.

I don't think he's very good at the CDN anthem when he does it. It's like a monotone song.

:madfire: <--- That's him when he sings. Intense!

Still, I heard him sing the Slovakian, Czech, Russian and Canadian anthems... did he just learn the pronunciations without knowing what he was saying or does he actually speak all those languages?

That guy just creeped the hell out of me. He looked pissed off during all anthems at the tournament.

Let me say that the Czechs scored three times, twice to tie us. Each and every time the fans quickly rallied to start a positive chant which i can guarantee does not happen in some other cities( figure that one for yourselves.). The crowd in Toronto passed the litmus test as far as i'm concerned. What an awesome game Vinny's legend grows by the shift. He's been outstanding. Toronto is a very happy place right now.
