Anyone remember....
Cop Killer? Body count?

Yep, Ice-T’s lame attempt at Rap-Metal fusion that bested Colin Kapernick’s anti-police message by 25 years. Of course Ice-T would later make a career playing a cop on Law & Order. Thought it was sh** then just like I think it’s sh** now.

I unfortunately got to see him play it live in front of Metallica and G’N’R in Oakland 26 years ago. Best part of his performance was when someone from the outfield hit him with a dirt clod in the back of the head and he fell over. He then got up and I remember him saying, “Whoever threw that, that was ya mutha!”

The Portishead album from 1994 is called Dummy. It's a great electronic album.

3) Our Lady Peace - Naveed (1994)
4) Our Lady Peace - Clumsy (1997)

6) Jimmy Eat World - Clarity (1999)
7) Swervedriver - Mezcal Head (1993)
8) Matthew Good Band - Underdogs (1997)
9) Sunny Day Real Estate - Diary (1994)
10) Gob - How Far Shallow Takes You (1998)

HMs:
Green Day - Dookie (1994)
The Cranberries - Bury The Hatchet (1999)
Live - Throwing Copper (1994)

-Six albums between two bands - I know... But front to back they got me hooked the whole way.

-Not a lot of early 1990's albums that have me listening front to back (for the most part). Surprised at myself for this. There's a few albums from the early 2000's I would actually have on this list.

very subjective opinion. here is another one. STP is one of the most overrated bands of the 90s, besides Purple they have produced nothing of note.
I get it.
I didn't mind it then ut now i hear it and think to myself..will this cat shut the f*** up!
Its just screaming off key...maybe im getting old

megadeth - rust in peace
metallica - metallica
tool - undertow
green day - dookie
soundgarden - superunknown
smashing pumpkins - mellon collie
marilyn manson - antichrist superstar
moist - creature
rage against the machines - rage against the machine

I know it's 13 but I can't for the life of me take 3 more out. The one thing I see from this list though (besides my childhood) is I consider every album from a different genre (or sub genre) of music.

Kinda seems like it's a purely alt rock/metal list with one electronic album thrown in....which is totally fine, but call it what it is.

In regards to people bashing Rage Against the Machine. Their first album is sonically brilliant, it is used for reference by top level audio engineers. I do not think they really expanded what so ever after their debut. But that album is a masterpiece that deserves the legacy it has.

I don't think production quality (unless I'm mistaking what you mean by "used for reference") is evidence of whether or not an album is good or bad, if that's what you're suggesting.

I respect audio and I was just pointing it out, but that's hardly the reason I and many others consider it great.
I'm not going to get into other reasons, if you don't like them no worries man.

Speaking of awesome audio, shout out to Massive Attack-Mezzanine

*but what I was referring to is dynamic range and mix translation when editing their own music/productions

Got it, and didn't mean to imply that you did-- I just thought you were giving that as a definitive reason for why it obviously doesn't deserve to be bashed or something.
