Not that I don't appreciate the movies at the top of the list, but the quality really seems to drop off quickly after the top-10 or so on all of these lists. Just feels like a very weak era with a lot of dated, or forgettable content. Especially if you take Spielberg/Lucas out of the picture.

you'll turn off the f***ing Godfather to put on...Slap Shot?
Godfather is an absolute masterpiece, don't get me wrong. The way Coppola used lighting to reflect Michael's inner turmoil and his descent into the underworld of crime is nothing short of incredible. I read that book on a train while traveling through Europe in my late 20s and it will always hold a very special place in my heart.

But I know my favorites when it comes to film, and I want to hear about how Dave's a mess and they brought their freaking toys with them. Slap Shot is a legit masterpiece as well, just in a much different way
