There were a tonne of class sitcoms to come out of the 2000s. The problem is what came out of the 2010s, it's a fairly weak output in terms of new stuff to come out since 2010 (though 2009 was a strong year).

Really the only great post-2010 sitcom I can think of is The Good Place and maybe American Vandal and they're still behind Parks, Community, Office, Always Sunny, Frasier, Seinfeld, IT Crowd, etc. After 2010, British sitcoms went to shit and American ones struggled to stay on the air for very long outside of a few lowest denominator types or ABC sitcoms that were weaker versions of 2000s ABC sitcoms. Sure there have been some decent ones after 2010 like Brooklyn 99 or Kimmy Schmidt or New Girl but either they couldn't sustain their consistency for more than a season or two or they just never had a good peak.

Pretty frustrating time tbh if you only watch sitcoms when it comes to TV.

Did anyone watch "The Carmichael Show"? That was the best, albeit short-lived, comedy since Seinfeld, imo.

A few other great comedies out there that I wouldn't consider sitcoms (animated shows, and Master of None & Louie)
