Won't the new league need a collective bargining agreement with its players before it starts, or is one already in place? Who knows, maybe in a few years, if the league lasts that long we'll be debating a WHA strike/lockout.

Then Brett Hull will start up his own league, the WHA3. LOOK OUT NEW MEXICO, DELEWARE, MISSISSIPPI, and THE US VIRIGN ISLAND, PRO HOCKEY IS ON ITS WAY!

I imagine the AHL/ECHL's union, the Professional Hockey Players Association (PHPA) is already teeing up to start another Local.

Those guys don't miss a beat. The WHA proposes higher salaries outside of any league not called the NHL. They're in like Flint.

What good is a union when you have a hard salary cap?

We don't need to have a union to work wherever we do. Some jobs have unions some don't.

I'm sure someone will start one so they can take some of the players money away from them for no reason at all. Joining a union in this league would be a waste of money for a player because they wouldn't get much benefit.
