Since trading for monahan or since the trade deadline, can’t remember which - jets are top 10 in pp. can’t remember exact spot.

So the additions of Monahan and toffoli have totally changed its effectiveness.
Even more than those two guys, the key seems to be Vilardi.

When Vilardi is out with injuries, the Jets' powerplay is something like 26th in the league, truly terrible. When Vilardi is playing, the Jets' powerplay in in the top 12.

@hangman005 im trying to get the same vibe going we had in the Vegas/Peg thread last year…..

I’m worried Georgiev has robbed Avs fans of their will to care. lol.

Good luck in your thread this year dude!

We’ll always have 23 - the year the Jets were beaten by the best.
And 19. In fact...

2017-18 beaten by Vegas - SC finalist
2018-19 beaten by St. Louis - SC winner
2020-21 beaten by Montreal - SC finalist
2022-23 beaten by Vegas - SC winner

the last 4 times the Jets have been to the playoffs they've lost to the eventual finalist, twice to the winner. That's not an easy path to take

Thanks. Where did you get those numbers - some site or did you do the work yourself?

m.

Did it myself quickly. For some reason a lot of places don't include PP opps and PK opps on a per game basis so had to do some digging to find it.

Not sure I like CO all that much, but I have zero faith in the Jets, even though things seem to be different this year.

Unconfidently voted CO in 7.

True, although in any playoff 7 of 15 losing teams will be knocked out by a finalist (2 in round 1, 2 in round 2, 2 in round 3 and 1 in round 4). So it’s still unexpected to do that 4 times in a row (omitting the play-in that they lost to Calgary) but maybe not quite as unlikely as it would seem initially.

Somewhere nice
Jets Power Play,

with Villardi, Monahan and Toffoli, these players scores the greasy goals. Near the goal lines.
They are good at tipping and redirecting the puck also. Specially the 1st two,

Schiefele, Connor Ehlers they tend to score the pretty goals.

Mix them up, for PP1 and PP2, Jets should be OK at power play.
What's lacking is the bomber at the point.

Look at the numbers with Vilardi in and Vilardi out, as well as how many points he contributed on the powerplay. He deserves more love than anybody for the Jets' powerplay success.

A whole lot of shit talking going on here.

I love it.

Drop the puck, let's get to hating eachother.

I'm not really into shit talking. But I'm gonna say Jets in 6 because everyone in Colorado is too busy drinking craft beer and smoking phat spliffs in their ugly flannel shirts getting lost in nature to play decent hockey.

Crap, I just realized that's what we do in Winnipeg too.

Will Winnipeg reduced tickets prices so fans will show up? These games will be on TV and empty seats would look bad.

I’d like to be interested in watching round 2 so Avs in 6.

This series is close.

I want to take the Avs due to experience but the defense and goaltending is way better for the Jets.

Coin flip. I’ll take Avs in 7. MacK/Makar being the difference.
