• Does he get flipped for a 4th at the deadline?
• Is his value higher at the Trade deadline - maybe a 3rd? (Guessing his injuries and season stats = no)
• Any chance he gets re-signed and sticks around? or does he walk as a UFA in the summer

You are right - Looked and found this:

• "Pitlick hasn't played for the Flames since Jan. 13 due to an undisclosed injury"
• "There is still no information with what is keeping Pitlick out of the lineup, and he has yet to return to practice. He remains out indefinitely until more information is available".

He's hurt. It's a cap dump for Calgary so they could take on Toffoli's full contract.

If he is able to play, I think he'll stick around to the end of the year as we sell off other players.

I'm sure Rem was all, "hey, what up, cuz?"

If he comes back from injury, I think he will be flipped with Habs retaining. 6th or 7th rounder. (Provided we have not already used up the retained salary slots by then)

I thought the same, trading injured guys was a no no? Unless habs were ok with it....?
Lukewarm is an understatement......it's the lingering effects of the Rinse and Repeat Era...

I guess you are right, players on LTIR have been traded for cap reasons previously as well.

You see in the news centers like Tyler Bozak going down with injury.

Makes you wonder if a team would give up a pick for a vet C like Tyler Pitlick, despite Hughes saying he was acquired to be a part of the team going forward.
