That's what I prefer, but no clue if the WHL team is going to stay in Seattle with the NHL moving in or if they're interesting in selling that moniker off.

I can totally see Seabrook going to Seattle. Near home, lots of money and Hawks can give them a younger player or 2nd then.

Yeah, who knows what 6.8M will be by then, might not be that big of a contract.

Seabrook would need to waive his full NMC-no trade...it still does not modify till after the 21/22 season..

But hopefully there is an end to the current CBA after the 2019/20 season is concluded ...and then we get a compliance buy-out of his contract which probably comes in July of 2021 ..this though would be after the expansion draft which comes I think around the 3rd week of June ...So we still must protect him even though we could be planning to compliance buy him out in this scenario. .Unless ...Seattle wants his last 2 years under contract to get to a floor ...in that case. .they would not select him unless he waived his NMC ..But the we could trade him July 1st when it modifies to some list of teams he would agree to go to...In this case...we would tell him our plan to ask for his list ...maybe Seattle is on it ..and because he knows we would trade him to them July first anyway he would waive his NMC for expansion selection cause he would be in Seattle anyway forc21/22 season.

But it all depends on if Seattlecwsnts him to get to the floor...they surely want no part of $6.875 for 2 mire years to have him play because he MO longer can play well Now ..by then it will be even worse if you can imagine.

Seattle: ":uhhh Gary, do we have to take a player from Chicago? Nothing but garbage on offer from that team....We would rather deploy the contract on players with more competence...if you get our drift....can't find any competence on the exposed Chicago players,Gary. Are you trying to ruin us with vomit choices"?

Seattle needs bottom six and tweener picks too. They have a cap as well and can't put 31 guys on the roster.
