Seems like Seattle didn't do their homework.

Then again, maybe they assumed they would get someone who wasn't ultimately available.

At the beginning of the season the expected 4 Seattle would choose from were:
Nutivaara (traded)
Kukan (exposed)
Robinson (protected)
Kivlenieks (RIP).

A lot happened over the course of the season and maybe it was too much. Plus, Bayreuther was up in the lineup near the very end of the season.

Certainly would have gave him a good look. But I think their eyes were set on Robinson too.

We protected Robinson (and Kivi’s death wouldn’t have changed that decision). I meant if the tragedy didn’t occur, I think it’s likely Kivi would’ve been the pick. I agree that I think Robinson was likely their top realistic option, until we protected him.
