Yale LW Kenny Agostino (PIT) was named an honorable mention to the All-Ivy League Team. In ten Ivy League (regular season) games this year, he posted eleven points (six goals, five assists).

Minnesota C Nick Bjugstad (FLA) missed the Mar. 2 game versus Wisconsin due to an undisclosed injury that he suffered on Feb. 25 versus Nebraska-Omaha. He returned to the lineup the following night.

Boston College D Brian Dumoulin (CAR) won Hockey East’s regular season scoring title among defensemen. He led all defensemen with 21 points (four goals, 17 assists) in 27 conference games this season.

North Dakota G Brad Eidsness’ (BUF) shutout win over Minnesota State-Mankato on Mar. 3 was his first in nearly 2 years. His previous shutout win came back on Mar. 12, 2010 versus Minnesota-Duluth in the WCHA Final Five Quarterfinals.

Cornell RW Brian Ferlin (BOS) was named the Ivy League Rookie of the Year. Ferlin led all Ivy League rookies with 13 points (five goals, eight assists) in 10 Ivy League games this year. He was also named to the All-Ivy League Second Team as well. The other NHL prospects named to the All-Ivy League Second Team were Cornell D Nick D’Agostino (PIT), Harvard G Steve Michalek (MIN) and Brown D Dennis Robertson (TOR).

Harvard C Alex Killorn (TB) and D Danny Biega (CAR) were among the unanimous selections to the All-Ivy League First Team. The other NHL prospect named to the All-Ivy League First Team was Princeton D Michael Sdao (OTT). Killorn led the Ivy League with eight goals and finished with 12 points in ten Ivy League games this season. Biega led all Ivy League defensemen with 14 points (three goals, 11 assists) in ten Ivy League games. Sdao posted ten points (three goals, seven assists) in ten Ivy League games.

North Dakota C Brock Nelson (NYI) won the WCHA’s regular season goal-scoring title with 20 goals in 28 conference games. He also finished the regular season co-leading the WCHA with Denver LW Jason Zucker (MIN) in power play goals with nine.

Notre Dame C T.J. Tynan (CBJ) won a share of the CCHA regular season scoring title with 29 points (11 goals, 18 assists) in 28 conference games. He finished tied with Michigan State defenseman Torey Krug in points. Tynan became the first Fighting Irish player to accomplish the feat.

UMass-Lowell LW Scott Wilson (PIT) won Hockey East’s regular season rookie scoring title with 28 points (12 goals, 16 assists) in 28 conference games.

Minnesota C Nick Bjugstad (FLA) was named to the All-WCHA First Team. He posted 29 points (16 goals, 13 assists) in 28 WCHA regular season games. Overall, Bjugstad ranks second on the Golden Gophers roster with 40 points (24 goals, 16 assists) through 36 games. His 24 goals lead the team.

Wisconsin C/RW Jason Clark (NYI) missed the opening round of the WCHA conference playoffs versus Denver on Mar. 9-11 due to a hip injury.

North Dakota G Brad Eidsness (BUF) was named the WCHA’s Outstanding Student-Athlete of the Year. He was named a WCHA Scholar-Athlete three times. He also already obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and will obtain his Master’s degree in the field this spring. Overall, Eidsness appeared in 15 games thus far for North Dakota, posting an 8-3-1 record that includes one shutout, a .920 save percentage and a 2.17 goals against average.

Northern Michigan LW Justin Florek (BOS) was named to the All-CCHA Second Team. He finished the regular season tied for fourth in the CCHA with 27 points (11 goals, 16 assists) in 28 conference games. Florek finishes the season leading the Wildcats with 19 goals and ranking second on the team with 36 points in 37 games.

Michigan LW Alex Guptill (DAL) was named to the CCHA All-Rookie Team. He led all conference freshmen with 25 points (13 goals, 12 assists) in 28 CCHA regular season games. Overall, Guptill currently leads the Wolverines with 32 points (16 goals, 16 assists) through 38 games.

Western Michigan D Garrett Haar (WSH) was named to the CCHA All-Rookie Team. He posted six points (one goal, five assists) and a plus-2 in 26 CCHA regular season games. Overall, Haar has posted seven points (one goal, seven assists) through 33 games. His lone goal (thus far) came shorthanded.

Colorado College D Aaron Harstad (WPG) missed the opening game of the WCHA conference playoffs versus Michigan Tech on Mar. 9 due to illness.

St. Cloud State D Nick Jensen (DET) was named to the All-WCHA Third Team. He finished the regular season tied for third among all conference defensemen with 23 points (five goals, 18 assists) in 28 WCHA games. Overall, Jensen currently leads the Huskies with 26 assists and ranks third on the team with 32 points through 38 games.

Ohio State LW Max McCormick (OTT) was named to the CCHA All-Rookie Team. He finished tied for second among all conference freshmen with 20 points (10 goals, 10 assists) in 22 CCHA regular season games. McCormick finished the season overall tied for third on the Buckeyes roster with 22 points (10 goals, 12 assists) in 27 games.

North Dakota C/LW Brock Nelson (NYI) and D Ben Blood (OTT) were both named to the All-WCHA Third Team. Nelson led the WCHA regular season with 20 goals in 28 conference games. Overall, he leads North Dakota with 23 goals and co-leads the team with 40 points through 37 games. Blood posted 14 points (one goal, 13 assists) in 28 WCHA regular season games. Overall, he co-leads all North Dakota defensemen with 18 points (three goals, 15 assists) through 35 games. Two of Blood’s goals thus far have been game-winners.

Minnesota G Kent Patterson (COL) won the WCHA’s goaltending title and named to the All-WCHA First Team. He led the conference in both goals against average (2.06) and minutes played (1,659:41) during the regular season. Patterson’s 26 wins lead the nation, while his seven shutouts co-lead the nation.

Minnesota C Kyle Rau (FLA) was named to the WCHA All-Rookie Team. He finished tied for second among all freshmen with 27 points (12 goals, 15 assists) in 27 WCHA regular season games. His 12 goals co-led all conference rookies during the regular season. Overall, Rau currently ranks third on the Golden Gophers roster with 36 points (16 goals, 20 assists) through 36 games.

Notre Dame D Robbie Russo (NYI) was named to the CCHA All-Rookie Team. He posted eight points (four goals, four assists) in 28 CCHA regular season games. Russo finishes the season ranked second among all Fighting Irish defensemen with 15 points (four goals, 11 assists) in 40 games.

Wisconsin D Justin Schultz (ANA) was named the WCHA Defensive Player of the Year and named to the All-WCHA First Team. This is the second consecutive year that Schultz has earned both honors. He co-led all defensemen in conference scoring with 28 points (ten goals, 18 assists) in 28 WCHA regular season games. Nationally, Schultz leads all defensemen with 44 points (16 goals, 28 assists) in 37 games.

Colorado College C/LW Jaden Schwartz (STL) was named to the All-WCHA Second Team. His 23 assists in 25 WCHA regular season games rank tied for third in the conference. Schwartz finishes the season leading the Tigers with 41 points (15 goals, 26 assists) in 30 games.

Denver C Drew Shore (FLA) and LW Jason Zucker (MIN) were both named to the All-WCHA Second Team. Both players finished the regular season tied for second in conference scoring with 37 points. Shore’s 23 assists in 27 WCHA regular season games rank tied for third in the conference. Overall, he leads the Pioneers with 50 points (21 goals, 29 assists) through 38 games. Shore also co-leads the nation with 11 power play goals. Zucker finished second in the WCHA regular season goal-scoring race with 19. Overall, he ranks second on the Denver roster with 44 points (20 goals, 24 assists) through 34 games.

Miami LW Reilly Smith (DAL) was named to the All-CCHA First Team. He led the CCHA with 18 goals in 28 conference games during the regular season and was one of only two players to be unanimously selected to the All-CCHA Team. Overall, Smith leads the RedHawks with 43 points (27 goals, 16 assists) through 36 games. His eight game-winning goals currently lead the nation.

Notre Dame C T.J. Tynan (CBJ) was named to the All-CCHA First Team. He finished the regular season tied for the CCHA lead in points with 29 (nine goals, 20 assists) in 28 conference games. Tynan finishes the season leading the Fighting Irish with 41 points (13 goals, 28 assists) in 39 games.

News & Notes

Harvard D Danny Biega (CAR) was named the ECAC’s Best Defensive Defenseman and earned a spot on the All-ECAC First Team. Biega was also a finalist for ECAC Player of the Year as well. In 22 ECAC games this season, he led all conference defensemen with 23 points (eight goals, 15 assists). Overall, Biega finishes the season leading Harvard in 25 assists and finishing second on the team with 35 points in 34 games.

Denver G Sam Brittain (FLA) set a new WCHA Tournament record for the most saves in a single game with 68 saves versus Minnesota-Duluth in the semi-final game on Mar. 17.

Merrimack G Joe Cannata (VAN) was named to the All-Hockey East First Team. In 27 conference games this season, he posted a 13-9-5 record. His .928 save percentage in conference play ranked second among all Hockey East goaltenders. In Hockey East play this season, he allowed just 27 even-strength goals.

Boston University D Adam Clendening (CHI) was named to the All-Hockey East First Team. He finished second among all conference defensemen with 20 points (two goals, 18 assists) in 27 conference games. Overall, Clendening currently leads Boston University in defensemen scoring with 31 points (three goals, 28 assists) through 37 games.

Cornell D Nick D’Agostino (PIT) was named to the All-ECAC Second Team. He finished tied for seventh among all conference defensemen with 14 points (six goals, eight assists) in 21 conference games this season. His four power play goals co-led the ECAC among all defensemen in conference play as well. Overall, D’Agostino has posted 20 points (eight goals, 12 assists) in 32 games to date. His six power play goals leads Cornell.

Boston College D Brian Dumoulin (CAR) was named Hockey East’s Best Defensive Defenseman for the second consecutive year and earned a spot on the All-Hockey East First Team. He led all conference defensemen with 21 points (four goals, 17 assists) in 27 conference games. Overall, Dumoulin currently leads Boston College in defensemen scoring with 26 points (six goals, 20 assists) through 40 games. He was also recently named one of the ten finalists for the 2012 Hobey Baker Award as well.

Cornell RW Brian Ferlin (BOS) was named the ECAC’s Rookie of the Year and earned a spot on the ECAC All-Rookie Team as well. He follows it up after being named the Ivy League Rookie of the Year. Ferlin posted 17 points (seven goals, ten assists) in 19 conference games this season, which ranked tied for second among all freshmen in the conference. Overall, Ferlin has posted 21 points (eight goals, 13 assists in 26 games to date.

Boston College LW Johnny Gaudreau (CGY) was named to the Hockey East All-Rookie Team. He was also one of three players that were unanimous selections. Gaudreau finished second in the conference in freshmen in scoring with 22 points (12 goals, 10 assists) in 27 conference games. Overall, Gaudreau currently co-leads the nation in rookie scoring with 39 points (19 goals, 20 assists) through 40 games.

Michigan LW Alex Guptill (DAL) was named the CCHA’s Rookie of the Year. He led all conference freshmen with 25 points (13 goals, 12 assists) in 28 CCHA regular season games. Overall, Guptill currently co-leads the Wolverines with 33 points (16 goals, 17 assists) through 40 games.

Clarkson G Paul Karpowich (STL) was named to the All-ECAC Third Team. He was also named a finalist for the ECAC’s Ken Dryden Award as well. Karpowich posted a 9-9-4 record in 22 conference games this season, which ranked fourth in the conference. Overall, he finishes the season with a 16-15-6 mark that includes five shutouts. This season, Karpowich set a new single-season school record for most saves (1,092) and leaves Clarkson as the school’s all-time career saves leader with 3,735 in 130 career games.

Harvard C Alex Killorn (TB) was named to the All-ECAC First Team. He posted 24 points (ten goals, 14 assists) in 22 conference games this season, which ranked fifth in the conference. Overall, Killorn finishes the season leading Harvard in 46 points (23 goals, 23 assists) in 34 games.

Boston College C/W Chris Kreider (NYR) was named to the All-Hockey East Second Team. In 27 conference games, he finished tied for sixth in scoring with 28 points (14 goals, 14 assists). Kreider led Hockey East in both shorthanded goals (3) and points (4). Overall, he currently leads Boston College with 41 points (20 goals, 21 assists) through 40 games.

Colgate D Thomas Larkin (CBJ) was named to the All-ECAC Third Team. He posted nine points (two goals, seven assists) in 20 conference games this season. Overall, Larkin finishes the season with 14 points (four goals, ten assists) in 37 games.

Denver LW Zac Larraza’s (PHO) goal versus Minnesota-Duluth on Mar. 16 was the first of his collegiate career.

Harvard D Patrick McNally (VAN) and G Steve Michalek (MIN) were both named to the ECAC All-Rookie Team. McNally was also named to the All-ECAC Third Team as well. He led all ECAC rookie defensemen in scoring with 15 points (four goals, 11 assists) in 22 conference games. Overall, McNally finishes the season leading all Harvard freshmen with 28 points (six goals, 22 assists) in 34 games. Michalek finished third in the ECAC with a .533 winning percentage and posted a 5-4-6 record in 17 conference games. Overall, he finishes the season with a 7-7-8 record in 24 appearances.

Boston University D Garrett Noonan (NSH) was named to the All-Hockey East Second Team. He led all conference defensemen with 11 goals and finished tied for fifth with 18 points in 26 conference games. Overall, Noonan has posted 26 points (16 goals, 10 assists) through 37 games. His 16 goals currently co-lead the nation among defensemen, while his eight power play goals currently co-lead Boston University.

Quinnipiac C/W Matthew Peca (TB) was named to the ECAC All-Rookie Team. He led the ECAC in rookie scoring with 20 points (four goals, 16 assists) in 22 conference games this season. Overall, Peca finishes the season ranked second on the Bobcats squad with 39 points (eight goals, 31 assists) in 39 games. His 39 points also currently co-lead the nation among all rookies as well.

Denver D Paul Phillips (CHI) missed the WCHA Broadmoor Cup Championship semi-final game versus Minnesota-Duluth on Mar. 16 and the championship game versus North Dakota on Mar. 17 due to a leg injury that he suffered on Mar. 15 versus Michigan Tech. His current status in unknown.

Wisconsin D Justin Schultz (ANA) was named a Top Ten finalist for this year’s Hobey Baker Award. This is the second consecutive year that Schultz has been named a Top Ten finalist and he becomes the first Badger ever to accomplish the feat. Despite Wisconsin’s season ending two weeks ago, Schultz continues to lead the nation in defensemen scoring with 44 points (16 goals, 28 assists) in 37 games.

Princeton D Michael Sdao (OTT) was named to the All-ECAC Second Team. He posted 15 points (six goals, nine assists) in 20 ECAC games this season, which ranked tied for fifth in the conference. Overall, Sdao finishes the season leading all Princeton defensemen with 20 points (ten goals, ten assists) in 30 games.

Colgate RW Austin Smith (DAL) was named the ECAC Player of the Year and earned a spot on the All-ECAC First Team. He led the ECAC in a number of categories including points (34) and goals (25) in 22 conference games this season. Smith finishes the season currently leading the nation with 36 goals and leading all NHL-drafted prospects with 57 points in 39 games. Most recently, he was also named a Top Ten finalist for the 2012 Hobey Baker Award.

Miami LW Reilly Smith (DAL) was named a Top Ten Finalist for this year’s Hobey Baker Award. He led the CCHA with 18 goals in 28 conference games during the regular season and was one of only two players to be unanimously selected to the All-CCHA First Team. Overall, Smith leads the RedHawks with 48 points (30 goals, 18 assists) through 38 games. His eight game-winning goals currently lead the nation, while his 30 goals rank second.

Colgate C Chris Wagner (ANA) was named to the All-ECAC Second Team. He led the ECAC with 22 assists and finished just behind linemate Austin Smith in the ECAC scoring race with 32 points in 22 conference games. Wagner finishes the season leading Colgate with 34 assists and ranked second on the team with 51 points in 38 games. His 34 assists also currently lead all NHL-drafted prospects as well.

UMass-Lowell C/LW Scott Wilson (PIT) was named Hockey East’s Rookie of the Year. He led all conference freshmen in scoring with 28 points (12 goals, 16 assists) in 26 conference games. Overall, Wilson currently co-leads the River Hawks with 37 points (16 goals, 21 assists) through 35 games. Wilson was also one of three players that were unanimous selections to the conference’s All-Rookie Team.
