These pics from the all star weekend... emotional and annoying at the same time... I blame Avs management for the O'Reilly drama, tragical. We had two of the hardest working players, workhorses within the same NHL team, sometimes playing in the same line but the Avs somehow messed it up, an important part of the future. They would have been perfect line mates for MacKinnon and/or Rantanen, various combinations possible. Both are captain materials without any doubts, Landeskog became the captain and O'Reilly left.

That sucks for Landy. Career year. Hopefully he continues his play next year. If we can put together an effective second line, it will take the pressure off the top line (assuming he's on it).
