For all the talk around these boards about how desperate this team is for some secondary scoring, we're getting our fair share of that right now. Soda has 15 in 21(A 58 point pace), Kerfoot has 17 in 21(A 65 point pace), Barrie has 19 in 21 now(73 point pace), and Colin Wilson has 9 in 20 which is only a 36 point pace, but that pace includes 24 goals.


If we can get Compher back and back to the level he was at before the concussion soon, on top of Kamenev showing signs of a breakout.... We could have ourselves a lot of quality secondary scoring.

Yeah, quietly it's looking like not making a major splash for secondary scoring this summer was a wise idea. I still think it will be inconsistent over the course of a full season, and the top line will need to carry them through those periods, but we seem to have enough room to work through it for this season at least.

Yeah we definitely still need help. Hopefully that help will be on the way in the form of UFA 2019 or Ottawa 2019 1st. But we also have the assets to get creative in the trade department if the guy we want to target isn't a UFA.

Makes sense. Kamenev has been awesome and should stay at center. I like Compher too but out of the two of them Kamenev might be better as a two-way center. You can then use Compher as a speedy RW on any of the bottom three lines.

Just watched the update on Compher on the Avs twitter page. Bednar mentioned that Compher would return on a wing with Kamanev, and that they're keeping Kamanev at center because they really love what he's been doing. Good news on a couple fronts there.

Yeah Compher is a better winger not a center
