Road trip continues with a pair of tough games in Pit and TB, along with a winnable game sandwiched in between. Hopefully Barrie is back for Tuesday and we can keep rolling. Not sure if I'm feeling it this week though.

Hmmm. We hammered Pitts and the game was only close due to a hattrick by Crosby. 2 of his goals arguably shouldn't have gone in. W for this one.

Florida has been playing like hot garbage. W

Tampa is pretty evenly matched with us...not sure who will win. Depends on goaltending. Let's go with a W here aswell.

Also if/when Barrie returns they need to play Girard and Cole together, and Z and Barrie. It's pretty damn clear EJ needs to be the OfD on his pairing. Put Nemeth with EJ and tell EJ to fly, and then roll the pairs fairly even. EJ is fine defensively in situational parts of the game, but as an overall mindset it's killing EJ and forcing him to take an extra half second with his decision making.

The refs could call the game 10-0 in penalties and they'd still feel that way. Detroit fans and Pit fans both think the refs are the reason they didn't win cups in back to back years when they faced off two consecutive years in the finals.

Perhaps they should rewatch that game. The only reason they were even in it was because the refs neglected to call anything on them. Plus the first 39 minutes of that game was all Avs.

What a great season its been so far. Tied with the Predators and only 2 points behind the league leaders.

If the season ended today, the Avs would have the highest PP% in league history, besting the mark set by an all start team also know as the 77 Montreal Canadiens, a team that featured Guy, Lemaire, Big Bird, Savard, Shutt, Yvan etc and set the 31.88% mark.

We also earned points - 20 of them to be exact) in 11 straight games. Amazing response after getting only 1 point in 5 games prior to the streak.
