Remind me again why Jack Del Rio is still not the Raiders coach. That guy knew what he was doing. Made progress his first 2 years. Last year was a step back, but 26 wins in 3 years did not merit a firing.

Because he's the one who did this to the Raiders, who had building blocks of young talent before he got there. He hired people who had no idea how to coach those players and made a change to hire a first time playcaller who had no clue what he was doing. His firing was entirely merited. The shine was also starting to come off the Raiders before they made the playoffs in 2016.

Save the hot takes for the stuff you know please. The Raiders have had plenty of bad coaches over the years and he might've been the second best of them, but he was one of them. I can't decide if he was better than Hue Jackson or not. At least Hue Jackson didn't have a player like Khalil Mack or Bruce Irvin decide that he wasn't going to go to practice because he didn't like one of Del Rio's decisions.

If you read Del Rio's Twitter you might see that he's not fit to coach in a league predominantly made up of black men and that there might be a reason it was reported that the locker room thought he was a dope. Re-posting tweets from guys who make racist comments about Barack Obama is probably not going to have any players believing that you can lead a football team.

Eh, there are plenty of Trump supporters amongst NFL coaches, Del Rio is not unique in that respect.

But yea, Del Rio was not a good coach.

Yeah, using that logic, the Patriots would be in big trouble because of Belichick and Brady. Professional athletes are able to leave that stuff off the field. Winning solves everything.

Del Rio is just an average coach, not good, but I wouldn't say that bad either.

Getting plastered all over twitter but I refuse to watch any of it. F'ing hate seeing crippling injuries to anybody.
We could all tell by his screaming and everyone waving the trainers over that he was hurt big time. They could have just showed him after the fact with his arm in a cast and told everyone the obvious, but Fox/Nfln wanted something social media turds could post, tweet and reshare.

Poor Niners fans subjected to another snooze fest next week vs Giants. Curious to see how Mullins does going forward.

If Jimmy was healthy would the Niners really be a .500 team? Come on. That team was flawed from the start.

For the arts snobs who don't like sports, this is what they're missing. This kind of unbridled joy is more real and endearing than any actor's performance ever could be.

Del Rio was a tool. Bill Musgrave was the guy behind Carr’s success.

Is anyone arguing otherwise? I don't think anyone would say the reason a QB played well was because of a defensive-minded head coach.

Yeah they would be. If the Redskins can be over .500 with a downright nutless offense, the 49ers could be too. Quarterback play matters more than anything else in this league.

Great matchups today. Not too confident in my Steelers having to play in Baltimore, they struggle there.

Like the Saints over LAR.

Pats over the Pack. GB needs all the help they can get to get the W in Foxborough - sucks Gerry Allison is out.

As bad as Harrison has been as the starting LT the past few games, he’s now out sick today. And their center is continuing to play through a high ankle sprain. Might see Mayfield on the run some more.

The weird part where your disappointed and excited at the same time since your team scores but hoping McCaffrey gets the TD for fantasy.
