He gets it out quick and knows his limitations. That's what you want out of a back up. The issue with Beathard is that he tends to hold the ball and doesn't trust what he sees.

I don't think I'm going to be able to watch much more of a team that is deliberately tanking. Glad they're going to have two top ten picks though. Cooper won't help Dallas whatsoever due to chronic ankle issues. Come the end of the year that will be looked at as a robbery.

It's not so much that it was a fluke but there was an assumption that they would add talent to a horrible defense, and there was an assumption that Carr would suffer no long-term impact from breaking his leg. They had to add talent on defense in order to be actually at that level, and subsequently wasted every single pick in the following draft.

The year the 49ers went 2-14 and could only beat the Cardinals twice was the worst sf team I ever saw. They were hardly ever even in a game.

This sf team is 1-7 but has been in every game towards the end except the Rams game.
