I get this week was weak in terms of prime-time options but holy cow Nebraska never even had a chance to compete in this game. Washington State/Utah would have been better.

To paraphrase Jerry Jones 25 years ago, There are 500 coaches who could win with Ohio State.

Ryan Day is basically Barry Switzer, handed a team so loaded even he can't screw up.

The Pac 12 is just one big pile of mediocre. UCLA might not be completely dead after all.

Also sort of related, this may be Hawaii's best team in years. They got steamrolled by probably the best Pac 12 team this year but beat 2 other Pac 12 teams already and are steamrolling Nevada. The Boise State game will be a big test.

First thing Nebraska needs to do is figure out a way to get back to the Big 12.

Other than Fields making some plays on his own, I don’t think they’re doing anything complicated to out-scheme Nebraska. I wouldn’t say they are out-working them. They’re just beating them on all these plays and there hasn’t been anything Nebraska can do about it because they’re not good enough, the talent gap is this wide.

Agree with all of this. Nebraska simply doesn't have the athletes.

Don't really have a catch-all NCAA thread, so I'll leave this here - as we all live and breathe, Florida is scheduling a home and home with Utah. Unless they schedule someone else before 2023, that'll be 32 years between true non-conference road games outside of Florida.

Florida, Utah schedule home-and-home football series for 2022, 2023

My guess is Florida let's Utah come in 2022 then buys out the return game the next year or tries to get it moved to Dallas or something.

Good for him, he’s done a great job so far considering the mess that was inherited.

Thinking the B1G is going to come down to the Penn St - Ohio St game. Michigan sucks. Michigan St seriously let Indiana nearly beat them at home? And Wisconsin... might be good. But as we’ve typically seen time and time again, the talent in the B1G east overwhelms whoever wins the west.

It's over already.
Hah, ok. We’ll see about that. One thing Penn St never does, since Franklin brought this team back to perennial top 15 level in 2016, that other great looking OSU teams in the last few years have done, is get blown out by one of the lower level B1G teams like Purdue and Iowa. Bet they stumble somewhere before playing Penn St.
