With all the concussion talks surrounding the nfl, i can’t see them being in any rush to start making exceptions on helmets. Sure they could write something up to amend insurances and liabilities, but this is a lawyers wet dream and opens up loopholes for everybody.

The nfl was right to shut it down and move on.

Exactly. They are in the middle of a class action suit with retired players. They are trying to appear to care about head injuries. How does that look in the public and a court room that you care about head injuries but are fine with a player signing a waiver to go out there without the current helmet and take their own chances.

Tom Brady handled it perfectly. So did the numerous other players who were forced to make the change. So the NFL is 100 percent in the right to tell him to **** off

no way, in this litigious day, the NFL allows a player to put himself at risk, even with a waiver. AB gets hurt wearing an old, uncertified helmet, and the NFL still loses, even if they can't sued. Court of public opinion is a real factor in sports leagues' decisions these days.

Only with the Raiders can you not show up for work for days without telling your boss, call him a racial slur, try to fight him in front your employees and STILL play on the team like nothing has happened. This is an absolute joke.

If I was Mayock, I'd either resign or pull a Peter Gibbons and just stop showing up for work.

Agreed. They could have taken away all his guaranteed money, but Gruden blinked.

It really makes you appreciate being a Pats fan. Some teams are so desperate to even have one shot at MAKING the playoffs, they’ll hold onto a cancer like this and then play him 90% of eligible downs.

The Patriots make the Super Bowl routinely starting other teams’ castoffs. It really is amazing.

Agreed. Teams with discipline and strong leadership such as the Pats, Spurs, Duke, etc. win. Undisciplined teams with talent lose. Will the Harden & Westbrook Rockets win a ring this year? Doubt it. As soon as Brady and my MI Wolverines lose to OH ST like they always do, I'll be proudly rockin a Brady or Pats avatar! :thumbu:

I’m excited for when the Chiefs offense consists of Mahomes-McCoy-Kelce-Hill-Brown and we still beat them in the playoffs

Man, the writers over at League HQ really got some free rein this season, eh? Didn’t even bother to wait for the regular season to unleash this storyline!

Looks like the Oakland Raiders - Antonio Brown divorce is final.

    Released!

Can’t see the Patriots signing him, but he’d be a perfect fit for the Jets and Dolphins.
