Is Illegal formation really a penalty we need in this sport? I would love to get rid of some of these penalties so we don't keep having a flag on every darn play. Football really is the only sport that has 0 flow to it.

Another penalty. All because a guy is a foot off the line of scrimmage. I feel like if we got rid of some of this stuff, no one would notice.

Football isn't a flowing sport. It's a chess match.

I get why it's needed because the defense needs to know who's an eligible receiver and who's not, but I agree - some of this is silly. Make some kind of rule change to the effect of "anyone lined up within 2 guys of the center is ineligible to be a receiver, anyone else on the line is eligible" and let guys line up from there however.

Of course, I want "half the distance to the goal" penalties to instead be tacked on the other side of the sticks so some 10-yard penalty with the ball originally at the 2 doesn't become 1st-and-11 from the 1, it's now 1st-and-20 from the 2. [Among a handful of other rule changes that would clean up things I think are dumb.]

Thanks for trying Blaine. See you on your next team when you get another start out of desperation. [And thanks for the ~$200K at the Sportsbook for keeping the Titans down more than 3.5!]

The half the distance to the goal penalties would work too if it wasn't detrimental to scoring.

They changed some of the rules about eligible receivers, although I forget what the changes were. This was after that Patriots/Ravens playoff game where the Patriots exploited the rule.

The Titans are not going to the playoffs.

Missed PAT keeps it at 2 possessions though

Annnnd now it's over.

Feel bad for that defense. They're probably gonna give up 40 but half of those points aren't even their fault.

No rooting interest for me but I much prefer watching the Colts than the Titans in the playoffs, even if it is only for one game.

So the 5 teams to beat the Patriots all missed the playoffs.

Gabbert is so ****ing trash.

Indy's lucky. I can't see them beating an even gimped Pats in Foxboro (at least compared to what we've seen in recent years out of them)

These Pats are not the Pats of old. The margin for error and talent gap are hard to ignore.

Compared to recent years, the AFC is more landmine than cakewalk.
