I am stoked this is finally settled and we have hockey back in Carolina :handclap:

I'm hearing 50 games and no out of conference. It's gonna get busy.

I gotta say, the Blues at 18-1 is a pretty good play.

Odds to win the Stanley Cup from Mandalay Bay:

Wild 6/1
Blackhawks 8/1
Canucks 8/1
Bruins 10/1
Oilers 12/1
Sabres 12/1
Sharks 12/1
Hurricanes 15/1
Blues 18/1
Flyers 20/1
Maple Leafs 22/1
Canadiens 25/1
Capitals 25/1
Ducks 25/1
Red Wings 25/1
Stars 25/1
Avalanche 30/1
Devils 30/1
Coyotes 40/1
Predators 40/1
Senators 40/1
Islanders 60/1
Jets 60/1
Lightning 60/1
Flames 80/1
Blue Jackets 125/1
Panthers 125/1

I tweeted Pagnotta earlier asking about Semin and he answered and said he told Russian media he was coming back within a week but not sure exactly when.

And so it begins...

Guaranteed Canes Vision video with the players dancing and Gleason staring a hole through the person asking him to do it.

Side note, I can't wait for opening night when trip will just be falling all over himself gushing about having Staal11. It might be the first time you've been able to hear an erection on television. His antics may be the most entertaining thing on a night where the hockey won't be very good, but at least it will be hockey.

So, how many Canes players were actually overseas? Jokinen, Semin, Stewart (who has been home for two weeks or so now), etc?

The Checkers will only lose Faulk, and probably one forward.

Tlusty is overseas. McBain was overseas for a while, but I thought I read he came back..not sure though. Checkers will lose Faulk, likely Bowman (who the Canes didn't put on waivers) and maybe Sanguinetti or Gragnani and one other forward?

With a shortened season, and every game having a bigger impact, I suspect teams be less likely to take risks with young guys, or will keep them on a shorter leash?

Also, how will waivers work for the guys in the AHL. For the guys that were waived to go to Charlotte, I assume they won't have to pass re-entry waivers to play with the Canes at training camp / the start of the season? If they don't make it though, do they need to go through waivers again to go back to Charlotte?

Just curious how all that will work.
