Like I already said, Vancouver had by far the tougher opponent in the 1st round. Nashville put up one helluva fight against Vancouver. Edmonton didn’t even break a sweat against LA. Even Washington would have beat LA.
Nashville was tighter then LA, but would it shock u to hear Saros has one of worst playoff save % all time.Saw stat posted other nite and it blew me away

The Oilers were sloppy and didn't play well but 4 of the 5 goals the Canucks scored were completely awful. It's not like the Oilers gave up a lot of good scoring chances.

So were 3 of the 4 goals the Oilers scored.

2-0 was a point shot where Silovs slid and lost his crease.
3-1 was a low-percentage shot from a mile away that took a lucky bounce.
4-1 was an absolute stinker.

Edmonton generated next to nothing 5-on-5 and Vancouver carried zone possession, SOG, and quality chances.

Was definitely a sloppy game.

with 2 good goalies this is a 2-1 3-1 3-2 type of game.

It's downright hilarious how Oilers fans might be the biggest front runners out there in terms of a fanbase. They lose a game, and you barely see an Oilers fan around these parts anymore.

One-half of the generational choke artists couldn't even take a shot on goal...

Imagine going from facing Roman Josi for 2 weeks to Darnell Nurse. 😁

That's like comparing Mattias Ekholm to Ian Cole though. You can't just pick the 3rd best defensemen on a team to compare to. Well I mean you just did, but it makes no sense.

The Oilers can't sit back so much when they have a lead, especially with Skinner in net. Even the Canucks only had 24 shots and few good scoring chances but Skinner was about as bad as can be. Even he won't be that terrible every game though. The Oilers probably would have won with Pickard in net.

Very premature, but If the games are going to be like this. Nashville was a much better team and harder to play against
When we smoked the Oilers in the WCF in 2022 I said the same thing, Nashville was a much harder out than Edmonton. Both swept, but Nashville was a better team. Still probably are come May/June.

Nashville has the better goaltending/defence and a good structure. Edmonton still plays “McDavid and pray or hope for the PP”

Vancouver out of all the Canadian teams feels like they're the only one trending in the right direction. Top to bottom.

Vibes around the team feel like the 2010 heydays, but the big difference is they're YOUNG. They have all the right pieces in play to turn out like a Hawks/Bruins/Pens well oiled machine for years to come.
