That was an interesting period of hockey.

Couple of observations besides the obvious... refs making themselves part of the game. Really weak calls on both teams, but then they missed an obvious cross check from Quinn hughes on Reilly Smith right before the high stick to make it a 5 on 3.

Wild Bill needs to get into the game. He's turning down prime shooting opportunities either because he's trying to be unselfish or he has no confidence in scoring ability right now. He's lucky Whitecloud scored on that play because he made a really awful decision to drop the puck to Patches who had the puck knocked away immediately.

PDB made the right call. Lehner is the only reason the Canucks aren't up 5-2.

Not sure what's up with the power play, but that was embarrassing. Good thing the PK bailed us out.

Pretty much agreed, Definately agreed with the bolded. Stephenson also rushed a good chance late in the period.

Hopefully we can handle the puck and pass smarter and better in the 2nd and 3rd because the team has been pretty shit at that tonight too.

Really good news for this team that Whitecloud is developing so quickly. Now if Hague can take another step forward next season, it totally changes the complexion of the blueline.

They would have to be putting Hague through some paces with his skating during practice.

That's what he needs to work on more and I'm not sure if he will have the ability to practice enough in the offseason.
