Nucks win this if they play their A game, but if they don’t Preds could surprise some people
If Dunham stands on his head they have a shot.
This one smells like an "upset" to me.
Preds in 6
Nashville has poor transition D, and lack speed on the back end to transition effectively. I think this will be the cause of the big swing scoring chances.I think "Wide open game" is the assumption fans have on the Canucks that didnt get to neccessarily watch them play lots this season. Its easy to believe that because they have the likes of Hughes, Miller, Petttersson etc....However the Canucks staples and bread and butter is tight checking, choking down the opponents scoring chances and defense first mentality.
Its primarily why someone like Kuzmenko didnt fit in with the Canuck's system, because its not wide open hockey at all.
Really just depends on which combo he decides to play. I suspect you will see Schenn instead of Stastney which is a massive drop in speed. We definitely know McD will be in but he would be the only slow guy if Schenn weren't in.Nashville has poor transition D, and lack speed on the back end to transition effectively. Headquarters in California but there's an EA location in BC
Huh? Vancouver plays a style more similar to that LA team than the Preds do, and have a high end goalie to bootPredators could be similar the 2012 Kings all over again if they play well enough. They got hot at the right time and have a goalie who's capable of catching fire. And who did the 2012 Kings play in the first round? Vancouver...

Sure but the 24 Canucks are a much better constructed team than the 12 version.Predators could be similar the 2012 Kings all over again if they play well enough. Yeah but Vancouver is not the same team and preds arent 2012 LA. Also Preds arent that hot the last 10 games eitherPredators could be similar the 2012 Kings all over again if they play well enough. Neither team has been hot the last 10 games of the season. Both are basically going in on the same footing in that regard. I would assume alot of that has to do that both knew they were in fairly early. I know we were resting guys the last several games.Yeah but Vancouver is not the same team and preds arent 2012 LA. Blueger is better than Aman. Where is Mikheyev? Also Linholm is definitely higher than 79 , same with Hronek.Nashville Predators

Fair enough but i still think Canucks are a much deeper team. Lindholm is my sleeper pick to be the difference sincr everyone is sleeping on him. He was a 1st liner in Calgary and at some point a selke nominee but now he is playing on our third line which is key. I think the only team that could match our center depth is vegas.Neither team has been hot the last 10 games of the season. Both are basically going in on the same footing in that regard. Our centers aren't flashy but they aren't bad. Probably the one I'm really only kind of worried about is Novak. RoR and Sissons have a ton of playoff experience, and McCarron plays his role well for a 4th liner. We also have a guy like Parsinnen if we need to in Milwaukee. All in all it's not going to make anyone's list but it definitely ain't the worst we've hit the playoffs with either.Blueger is better than Aman. Where is Mikheyev?
