I'm making a conscious effort to try and block it out tonight. It made the game less enjoyable.

I fully admit I will probably fail miserably after the next highlight package of a player hitting Ryan Reaves, and NBC claims Reaves, "was going after that guy."

That clip of Dickinson throwing a pretty insignificant hit on Reaves where, I think it was Kenny, claimed he was going after Dickinson was just nutty. I think even Reaves would have been embarrassed by that claim. It was guys rubbing paint.

I normally hate NHL network but this is a really great breakdown/analysis of exactly what went wrong for the Stars last game.

We need more of this kind of talk in American national broadcasts and less bullshit about chirping, checking, and fighting.

Why does everyone want Janmark replaced vs Dickinson? What in god name has Dickinson done this summer that warrants him staying in the lineup vs Janmark?

Jany at least creates opportunities and drives possession. If you're going to replace a guy with an offensive black hole offensive/defensive specialist, why not swap for Dickinson who is essentially Cogliano 10 years younger?

Honestly I don't know how Dicky gets such a pass from Stars fans. He's useless. May be just as invisible as Devin Shore was, if not more. At best he's a 4th line energy guy at this point.

I like Janmark and I want him to do well but for as much as he seems to have the puck and puts it on net I still wouldn't describe him as generating chances. I think Dickinson is mostly invisible because he plays a more defensively minded role in the bottom-six and I think I'd prefer that.
Regarding Cogliano, part of me wonders if the Stars couldn't move him this offseason if he might actually retire. I mean he would be walking away from money but at this stage in his career I don't know if he would want to either suit up for another season and be a healthy scratch every night or just call it a day.

Dickinson so far in the playoffs has been on the absolute worst lines. IRC he was stapled to Perrys ass for every game in the playoffs. Of course he ain't generating much offense there 5on5 .

Both play a similar role, Dickinson is younger and therefore should be in over Cogs. But if the goal is to put in Cogs, taking Jany WHO ACTUALLY PRODUCES CHANCES out is not the answer.

i was just saying to my friend the other day that dickinson will probably also be a healthy scratch for columbus in a few years lol
