Even though I would like to see the Oilers win, Dallas is just too deep. More depth on offense and better goaltending. I’m just hoping that it goes 6 or 7 for entertainment purposes

Heart says Edmonton in 6, Head says Dallas in 7.

Dallas scored 4 more goals and gave up 3 less goals during the season. They had 1 more regulation win. This should be a close series.

Special teams are important. More at 11.

You said the Oilers are PP dependent. I pointed out that they are leading the playoffs in 5v5 goals. Don't care which goalies it was against.
Team with a sieve in net has to score at will for a chance to win. Easy to do against bad goalies.

I guess we will see when facing a good goalie finally. I wouldn’t have my hopes up.

Dallas in 6, Edmonton showed a lot of cracks in the Vancouver series.

This is a healthy Dallas squad vs. a banged up Edmonton squad

Wedgewood is a great goalie and rules the world with goalie goodness!:madfire::cry:

really tough series
Dallas is deeper is all areas so the Oilers will be the underdogs

but unlike 2022 against the Avs, they don't have the top-end to match the skill of the Oilers

thus, Oilers in 7!

Unlike Vancouver Dallas's depth forwards are actually a threat and their depth defensemen are actually good. Will be a tough series for the Oilers again, especially with their 3rd and 4th lines still not offering anything.

Dallas the advantage in offense? If we look at top scorers:

Dallas:
13
12
11
8
8

Oilers:
24
21
20
16
13

Interesting.

To be fair Edm didn't play Vegas or the Avs, but as a Stars fan I will say, EDM has the better top two forwards obviously, but overall forwards is close.

Doesn't matter what happened in the first two rounds, it's going to be a good series

I cant see how Edmonton beats Dallas. Dallas just seems more steady at every position with depth. And I dont know how good Skinner can hold up even though he's had two good games in a row.

Only way I see Oilers winning is if their offence turns up a notch and score 4-6 goals per game, where McDavid/Draisaitl get back to 2-3 pts per game. I dont see Oilers winning a close series against Dallas winning 2-1 or 3-2 kinds of games all series.

Dallas in 5 or 6.

The Dallas Stars are a tank, and Tanev is shot blocking machine so no easy goals from the point, and then you have 4 lines that can score, and a goaltender Oettinger that is at the top of his game, so yeah Edmonton will have to play McDavid and Draisaitl 30 minutes a game to even have a slim chance of winning.

Texas vs Fake Canadian Texas
That is so true
