Swindlehurst made it.

K. Phillips & Matt Towe were the last 2 cuts.

Murphy
Bowns
Will

O'Connor - Richardson
Weaver - Meyers
Lee - D. Phillips
Swindlehurst

Dowd - Shields - Tait
Lachowichz - Myers - Clarke
Farmer - M.Davies - Hewitt
J. Phillips - Garside - Hill
B.Davies

Based on reported lines from the warmup games.

I feel confident that those are 6 D and 4 lines that can and should be rolled

If Tait is anything like the last couple years, he might end up the 13th fwd before the tournament is over lol

2-0 down after the 1st despite dominating possession, oh dear :(.

And the stream I'm watching is showing last years match again Hungary in the interval just to keep my morale up :(.

haha ye what the hell are they thinking showing these old games?

Nothing worse than carrying the play throughout the first period and going down by 2 early.

The gap in talent between GB and Croatia is a bit wider than I thought it'd be.

I really like that Davies-Dowd-Davies line. They're so small but so fast and shifty.

Also been impressed that GB isn't in penalty trouble yet lol

We lost to Croatia? Didn't expect that.

Croatia has 14 guys on the KHL roster or in the KHL system, 2 in Austria, then 1 in Slovakia Denmark and SM Liiga.

The KHL growth have these guys training & playing at higher qualities and a lot of them are training/playing together most of the year.

Reality is this:
KHL players : Martinovic, Letang
Fringe KHL players : Kostovic, Waugh - but with experience in NLA, EBEL or AHL
EBEL player: MacAulay
INL (AUT-SLO): Novak
SM Liiga: Rendulic
Denmark 1st legaue: Kanaet - with EBEL experience
Slovak 2nd league reserve : Tomljenovic
KHL roster spot but no exprience in play : Sakic
German 3rd league with Slovak league experience: Markovic
All other players are amateurs.

Not playing this championship: Andy Sertich (EBEL)

Problem is whilst most of the GB team might be better than Croatia's amateurs they're also a long way off the likes of Martinovic and Rendulic. We don't have properly good players. O'Connor is the closest but not much else.

Croatia
GB started good. They dominated first 10 minutes but during the game individual quality of top croatian players started to show up.
Like i wrote before, our Top4 defencemen are above the level of GB league, and they dominated in croatian slot. It'a hard to score when you can't put a player infront of opposition's goalie.
GB coach did a good analysis after the game.
