Rakell – Zibanejad – Silfverberg
Kempe - Wennberg - Nyquist
Johansson – Eriksson Ek -

Dahlin – Karlsson
Lindholm

Brodin

Lundqvist

Kempe is NOT a player for top-6.

Lundqvist is done imo.

Lundqvist is done imo.

Many goalies are free agents. Only Anders Nilsson feels like a lock among those on contract besides The King. Maybe a european goalie can breakthru?

Personally I think players should all accept invitation this time and win it for Henke who has one more year left of his contract after the WC.

What does it means? Could you translate it please ?
Pretty much that his body feels good, and his life at home is stable so the timing works well for playing at Worlds. Says he'd like to fix the problems in Sharts and would like to go to the playoffs(along with some other things). But that aint happening so unless he gets injured it sounds like he'll be going.

Not quite sure if that is as huge of an impact as it would have been a couple of years ago. Last time EK65 played WC was 2012 (floptournament on homesoil) and i think he was more dangerous as a player back then. That was eight years ago. People will expect big things from him if he show up. I’m not saying he’s washed up. I’m just saying he’s not on the same level as when he won those Norris.

But maybe he can show up big if he gets to be the unquestionable number one on the swedish blueline. No Burns to compete against.

I mean, yeah he won't be, but he's still a really good offensive dman, leading the Sharts in points, give him a great defensive dman like Lindholm to cover his weaknesses and he could be lethal, though.

Depth is as important. With, say Brodin And Strålman on our third defense pairing thing might go well...

Ullmark is RFA, last year it took him until August to get a deal done. Högberg has been fantastic for the Sens, so that's his replacement. Silfverberg is iffy as he could decline due to his baby, which is yet to be born IIRC. Hopefully Lasse gets invited.

Even thought we could fill the whole team with NHLers there will always be some players from the euro legues. Swe coaches always do that.

Last wc we had 4 euro players, the year before that it was 5.

Goalies i think Hellberg/Lasse Johansson/Reidenborn/Lindbäck will battle for a spot. I like Johansson mostly.

On D i really like Lööv, Bertilsson and Dahlbeck, safe gritty players. Perfect for bottom pairing or as 7-8.

F there is Lander, P.Berglund, Strömvall, Händemark. M.Nilsson, Rödin, Brome, Josefson etc. Lots of good players to fill out the roster.

So, 10 Swedes changed NHL teams during TDL, all RFA/UFA except for Calle Rosén, who goes back to Toronto, and Axel Andersson(but he's a ways away).

If we can have a core of:

Zibanejad
EK65 (healthy)
Lundqvist (last horaah)
Dahlin
Brodin
Forsberg
OEL
Arvidsson
H.Lindholm
E.Lindholm
Silfverberg
Rakell
Ekholm
Olofsson

And then sprinkle in Bratt, Nyqvist, Fasth, J.Larsson, Johansson, Kempe etc

....we can beat anyone.

If we are REALLY lucky and both Vancouver and Toronto miss the playoffs, we'll also get Nylander, Pettersson and Sandin.
