One of the best bands live I have ever seen... 20 years after this. Still insane energy and fantastically tight. They covered Anarchy In the UK as well when I saw them and jeez... one of the best live covers ever.

Always amazes me they did not get bigger. Just fell in a weird time... after post-punk and new wave was semi-dead... but before Britpop.

Me and my brother might have been the first people to play this band Порнофильмы (just dont search that on the internet without "band" haha. Given what it means... especially if on works PC!) on British radio haha.

My brother used to have a radio show where he played a range of his taste in music. And on one of them I appeared as a co-host and guest and we put the below song on.

Their big breakthrough came a few months later in Russia and their newest album released this year is massive... and they have became really pretty well known for anti-Putin/current Russian establishment sentiment.

if people like punk have a listen to it.

Their last few releases have actually been not the same quality as their earlier stuff in my estimation. But what do I know... it is way more popular in Russia than anything they did in their first 8 years as a band where they were a smaller band.

Strike Anywhere was a band I was into back in my high school days. Totally forgot about this song until it randomly popped up on Youtube yesterday while going down a Punk rabbit hole. Pretty crazy to think this song was written almost 20 years ago now, considering how relevant it is to 2020.

One of my favourite albums of 2019 in terms of background music to work to.

Some pretty interesting and unique bands coming out of the Netherlands right now. Altın Gün are amazing as well.

“when we forget the infection, will we remember the lesson”

They brought Mick Gordon in to help produce this song. He’s the guy that did the soundtrack for Doom

Did you play any of the Parasite Eve games? I only played 2 but I enjoyed it.

Not the first time they did a video game related one:

Their last single was for and inspired by the Death Stranding game.

I don’t believe Parasite Eve is related to the game, just in name. There was a vlog series on the making of the song and they didn’t really mention it. I have not played the game though.

I do recommend the 2nd game, but it basically is an RE clone.

For something else nerdy, yes, this song is specifically referencing what you think:
