Really digging this vibe. Its like if Sade was in an indie rock band.

no one seems to talk about these guys

Their first 3 albums are all classics. Then they started to go all proggy with 'Crack the Skye' and lost me.
Very ****ing nice. It's only my third favorite Police album (Outlandis is #1, obviously, then Synchronicity), but it's more or less a masterpiece.
The Police. Great band. Somewhat underrated now despite their commercial success.

Dave Greenfield, The Stranglers keyboardist died today of COVID-19...

one of the best ever in my opinion. Maybe Ray Manzarek is only keyboardist in modern music who is more distinctive.

And while this was never one of my favourite Stranglers songs it is probably the most recognisable piece of music Dave ever wrote. And such a beautiful composition.

Had the pleasure of watching them - and him - live... and he was unbelievably good.

Also... on a lighter note.

Have not been able to stop listening to this for like a week. Alt-J can be really inconsistent... but aside from maybe Metronomy I dont think any English band has had so many moments of sheer genius over the last decade as they have. Maybe ~7 or so songs that are just preposterously good.
