Don't forget these 90's ladies!

I got to see Mary Fahl (former lead of October Project) live a few years ago. Her voice is still flawless and she's still beautiful but holy hell is she tiny! It's amazing that such a resonating, powerful voice can come from such a small person.

that is one of the worst "popular" songs of all time
everything, and I mean everything about it is just incredibly god-awful
the repetitive lesbionic demon-howling makes me want to take a power drill with a very sharp bit to both of my eardrums...

The next time she shaves her armpits will be the first time. Ever. Guaranteed.

Came on my Spotify playlist this morning. How about this one for some 90’s nostalgia?

I saw The Offspring at PNC Bank Arts Center on Wednesday.

What can I say: I'm just a sucker with no self esteem.

I listen to a lot of Synthwave as well.

Finally got around to the new Arcade Fire. "Everything Now" is insanely catchy for me. But more importantly, I love that it's very obvious someone was listening to "Loveless" while making the album. Lots of shoegaze-style melody that almost sounds like it was sampled off Loveless is scattered throughout.

There is a smattering of decent songs on it, but overall it is by far their worst album in my opinion. It seems very haphazardly and damn near lazily put together. I like Everything Now and the last 3 tracks fine (though i'm not in love with any of it) and the rest if just total ass to me.

The fact that they lashed out at critics of the album with the classic pretentious "you just didn't get it" line also rubbed me the wrong way.

I like this one more than Reflektor, where the low points were lower imo

See I don't think anything on Reflektor is as low as the middle 4 songs on Everything Now.

Infinite Content followed by Infinite_Content is the absolute low point of their career to me.

To each their own though!

I miss Funeral and The Suburbs calibre Arcade Fire albums.

Yeah, unfortunately I don't think they're ever getting back to Funeral/Suburbs levels. Flashbulb Eyes is to me what Infinite Contents are to you.

I see this album as inoffensive, whereas there are songs on Reflektor I always skip even if it's just background noise. However, the new album also doesn't have a stretch of songs like Awful Sound/It's Never Over/Afterlife/Supersymmetry." I manually play "Porno" before those because I think those 4 consecutively flows a lot better.

Edit: I'm checking into reviews for this thing now, and wow, I didn't realize how polarizing this album is.

I actually really liked Porno. Probably my favorite song on Reflektor.

I don't know what's going on with this band though. I can't figure out what the hell they are trying to do based on their last 2 albums.

These genre labels are getting sillier and sillier.

As for Arcade Fire, I think I started to lose interest with The Suburbs. Don't get me wrong, there's some amazing stuff on that record, but the band's inherent pretentiousness started to stop being charming. Afterlife is a real high point on Reflektor, but that's a record I had a really hard time getting into otherwise. And I haven't even been able to give Everything Now a full listen. Electric Blue is another nice (if slightly forgettable) discoey number from Regine, but everything else has fallen really flat for me.

Another band I lost interest in was Interpol after Antics, but I'm really liking what I've heard off their new record so far.
