The HFNHL Capitals are looking to mix things up a little. Available players include:
Jonathan Marchessault - 71 overall W with 84 SC 79 PA 84 SK and could provide a big boost to someone's 2nd unit powerplay or 2nd line. the price would be a strong prospect, a high draft pick, or a true C of comparable value.
Alex DeBrincat - 72 overall W - 22 YO - this might be a bit of a sell low move after having a less than impressive campaign last season, but he's due to bounce back into 40 goal form and he's still young enough to be a part of a core rebuild. Washington would like to replace him with a more established W for the 1st line or a package of players and prospects that meet our expectations. Certainly will not be giving him away.
Evegeni Dadonov - 73 overall W - 86 SC 85 SK 89 PH - 1 year at $4.75 contract
Washington again will likely only deal 1 or perhaps 2 of these wingers, and Dadonov should be a first unit PP option and 1st line player on many teams. Looking to change up the composition of my forward group. We can get creative with this deal in terms of return, but mostly the same as our ask for DeBrincat.
Brandon Montour - The 26 year old defenseman had a bit of a struggle last season but looked good on a buffalo squad that was hopeless even prior to his arrival. He is a fantastic candidate for a bounce back season. the natural skill is certainly there, but Washington has a glut of puck movers in their defense and wouldn't like to play him on a bottom pair. The ask for this will be mostly futures or middle 6 forward types of comparable value and/or salary.
