I spoke to Maple Leafs' fans. Everyone of them wanted Tom Wilson. The Capitals are lucky to have a player like Tom Wilson. He is a rare player who is a top 6 forward who scares other teams when he is on the ice. I remember Chris Simon having a season in which he scored 29 goals. He never came close to that before or after, but he also scared so many teams when he was on the ice.

Leafs definitely need a change of identity, the same kind we got after bringing in Orpik and Oshie.

Sharks didn't look like a team on a 11-2 run, they got curbstomped and it looked easy
No penalties? More of this please! Sure beats 4 PK's the first 2 periods of each game it seems
Great game from 4th line and just about everyone else too
Hope Gudas' beard absorbed most of that blow from Kane

The Capitals have perhaps the best 4th line in hockey right now at a combined AAV less than that of Jay Beagle ($2.95 million for Leipsic-Dowd-Hathaway vs. $3.0 million for Beagle).

Dowd in particular is just killing it at 5v5: 57% CF, 59% FF, 63% xGF, and 61% GF all while getting a higher % of defensive zone starts than every other forward on the team and not really being sheltered from the opposition too much.

That's some nice work. While the Hagelin and Panik contracts don't look great right now there still isn't a ton of wasted cap space on the roster. Hats off to McLellan for icing an extremely competitive roster year after year while not really being able to take advantage of cheap ELCs due to poor draft position over the past 10 years.
