I can see both sides. At the same time these guys are grown ass adults, not pee wees.

You'd figure and hope that by now a leader or two in that dressing room has addressed these embarrassing starts.

I hate this effort level from the team while in midst of very crowded playoff race. Getting outshot 8-0 to start a game says team wasn’t ready.

I’m hoping they can just “turn it on” going into the playoffs, but even under Trotz they never really did. Last season was a culmination of effort that Trotz instilled in them over the last month or so of the season... plus Grubauer’s stellar play.

They don’t have Trotz’s tutelage or a backup goalie who’s capable of giving Holtby a real break to clear his headspace.

So let’s hope the plan just isn’t, “wing it”.
