Was the WJC 2011 Gold Medal game the worst collapse in a championship game?

The 2005 Champions League final was definitely a worse collapse. The loser also blew a 3 goal lead, but collapses/comebacks are more common in junior hockey than at the top level of soccer. And it was on an infinitely bigger stage.

Thinking about that one, there was still 60 minutes of soccer played after the score was tied. How about Bayern Munich surrendering 2 goals to Manchester United in injury time?

That was the first that came to my mind.

Wikipedia said:
The game's ending was so unexpected that UEFA President Lennart Johansson had left his seat in the stands before Sheringham's equaliser to make his way down to the pitch in order to present the European Cup trophy, already decorated with Bayern ribbons.[12] When emerging from the tunnel at the final whistle, he was stunned. "I can't believe it," he later said, "The winners are crying and the losers are dancing.

In the 2008 finals, The Lakers blew a 24 points lead against The Celtics (game 4). They then proceeded to get destroy by 39 pts two games latter.

Not the final game, but a big game: England surrendering two goals to France in injury time to lose their Euro 2004 group match. Given the makeup of the group, the winner of this game was virtually assured of advancing. As it happened, both advanced anyway.
