PLD gets next season to redeem himself but if this continues into next year, Jets need to clean house. You can't lose a trade that horribly when you had Laine.

Watching PLD in the playoffs so far as a neutral observer has been absolutely disappointing.
PLD has looked awful, 0 offensive touch in Winnipeg. No clue what happened to him.
Atleast Laine has a top 5 shot..
Laine sucked this year and perhaps he's done as a superstar. But no one knew that before the trade. Jets traded him at the best time, but they should have gotten a 2c at least. Not some scrub. You mean the guy who had 10 goals this year while being -30?
As long as you pay the exorbinant prices that will be insisted upon by both us and the Jets... sure!Canucks will take both players off your hands.
Horvat-EP-Laine
Miller-PLD-Boeser
I’d offer Miller for Laine and something like #9+Rathbone+Lind for PLD. Probably not enough thoughAs long as you pay the exorbinant prices that will be insisted upon by both us and the Jets... sure!
(For example: you might not get to keep both or either of Horvat/Miller. )
There's at least one - possibly two - Jackets fans who would take that Laine trade immediately, no questions asked. I'm more in the "I could be sold on it" camp.I’d offer Miller for Laine and something like #9+Rathbone+Lind for PLD. Probably not enough though

Based on just this season it's hard to need either one of these guys unless you need your team's hfboards forum to have more funny postsKind of reminds me of the Larsson - Hall trade which seems weird on the surface but met the teams' needs decently
