Have waivers been eliminated? In other words, are we able to send players down (regardless of tenure, age, etc..) to the farm without fear of team's making claims?

Players aged 26 or older are subject to waivers if they play 5 or more games (or more than 5, I forget which...). We increased this age from 24 to reflect the fact that it takes young players an extra year to establish themselves in the HFNHL.

The claiming team is on the hook for the entire remaining salary of the player, plus (I believe) a one-time $50K payment to the team that lost the player.

    Thanks

Great, this allows me to move Connolly's salary down to the minors.

I have to add a newbie question here:

How does the waiver procedure work?
Just demote the guy in the GM Editor? Leave a mail or a post somewhere?

Player assignment and recalls involves two steps:

    - call the player up (or assign him to) the farm in the GM Editor, and save those lines to your team's Yahoogroups folder as usual

    - in the text file in your team's Yahoogroups folder, edit the title to indicate that player movement has occurred, and provide the details in the body of the text file. If a called up player is being inserted into the lines, it doesn't hurt to indicate that in your text lines with caps, e.g.:

Columbus PLAYER MOVEMENT & Text Lines

Columbus recalls RW Graham Mink from Syracuse of the AHL
Columbus assigns D Andy Wozniewski to Syracuse.

    (LW - C - RW - LD - RD)
    Sanderson - Modano - Shanahan - Carney - Aucoin
    Bell - Kozlov - MINK - Norstrom - Boucher
    etc. etc.

Is there a list of players on waivers maintained?

There is, although there appears to be no link to it on the home page. Sean?

    It's there, it's called "Scores".

    Thanks for the other, Sean.
