burgh
Pens have no need for anyone right now on the forward lines. But next year Pens have to either extend Kuhny, Galchenyuk, as top 6 forwards. My guess is two D men will be gone in JJ and possibly Schultz. Plus you have cap at say 84 million so the cap is just not a killer next year if the right moves are made.
that's an easy "if" here....but in jr's world ??????????

Practice lines today:

Tokarski who hasn't been on ice yet was on ice today.

Intrigued to see:

- Lafferty on the wing; are they prepping him for a call up?
- That third line is, uh, abrasive.
- Bellerive as a C. Also that'd be a dope fourth line.
- Where on earth would you slot Almeida into that team?

Good question on Almeida. Heh.
But since he's coming back from a lengthy time off, it'll be good that they can ease him in.

Also caught this:

Looks like we'll only get one game out of it tho...

Is there an AHL roster limit? Will they be platooning DeSmith, Larmi and Tokarski?

Seems like a can't miss guy for Velluci who has a history with him by the looks of it.
Was on a PTO with DAL.
Don't forget you can watch the game tomorrow for free!

too much depth. young guys aren't going to be getting a chance. Maybe the pens move out some AHL vet contracts

Not as if some low hangers can't play tons in Wheeling.
Theres enough ice to go around. Injuries/3in3's will happen.
Think i may watch the game tomorrow on AHL Live in it's entirety.
Only thing that would get me to watch the big club atm is if Marino dresses.

That's the first thing I thought of. Doesn't the AHL do this quite a bit. Teams are essentially forced to rotate lineups with that type of schedule.

Plus you have the AHL Vet rule which means 12 skaters must have fewer than 260 Pro games (AHL, NHL, European Elite leagues) and one skate who has fewer than 320 Pro games.

Noesen qualifies as having less than 320 but more than 260 so probably made him an enticing signing. Jamie Devane and Ryan Haggerty are also in this bracket. Got to think that Devane will get less games now Oleksy has been brought in.

Agozzino, Trotman, Warsofsky, Czuczman, Oleksy and Cramarossa all qualify as Veterans so only 5 of them can dress in the same game.
