Granted, for cap reasons, they aren't likely to do so, if they can avoid it. That said, does anyone really believe the Pens will make it out of training camp without injuries?

Masonius has signed an AHL only contract with WBS. He's almost certainly starting in Wheeling.

To be fair to Birks he's done well to earn an ELC considering he redshirted his freshman year which is frankly unheard of for NHL prospects. Still think he'll spend most of the year in Wheeling.
