I am eagerly awaiting the details on this undisclosed injury. I'm sure "minor, day-to-day" will turn into "oops, he's out of 2 months."

If Letang is going to miss his customary 30 games this season he needs to get started at some point I guess.

Did Duper play in the 3rd? The Kings feed didn't say anything about it but I wondered if he didn't "feel well" again or something.

Lost a bit in today’s Dupuis news: Kris Letang practiced for the club, after missing the last two games with an undisclosed lingering injury. He also took contact, and could be cleared for tomorrow night’s game against the Avalanche. source

I wonder how much longer we will be at full health. I'm putting the over/under right at around "today" even if there isn't a practice today.

Hope Beau's knee is okay. I had a bad MCL sprain slash minor tear when I played in high school. Similar play and I got up and skated to the bench. Stayed on the bench the rest of the game but skated around a bit like he did. Changed and walked to the car after the game. Woke up the next morning and couldn't walk.

Shouldn't Dupuis still technically be on there? He didn't officially retire. He will be on LTIR until his contract expires.

Yeah, definitely an MCL and it didn't look great. Even when he was testing it out he wasn't putting any weight on it.

Out of curiosity, how long did it take you to recover from that?

I wore a leg stabilizer for 2 weeks so my knee wouldn't bend. Then wore a brace after. If I remember correctly (this was 11 years ago), I was off the ice for 4-5 weeks. I started skating again and just was used as PP QB for a few games until I felt comfortable. So probably 6 weeks total but I wasn't getting top of the line care like a pro athlete would be.

I could be off by a week or so either way.

Would you say you were a better PP QB than Letang? :sarcasm:
