I figure to just give my opinions on how each team did in the draft. You can also give your opinions on my opinions, then I can give my opinion of your opinion on my opinions, and just continue the cycle.

1. :sabres Rasmus Dahlin D Frolunda HC (SHL)

Well duh, if they didn't select them they would be morons. Great pick, and a possible future franchise defense-man. Buffalo should be very excited for this guy.

2. :canes Andrei Svechnikov RW Barrie Colts (OHL)

He's been ranked the #2 prospect basically all-year and I believe Carolina had him ranked #1 on their list. A guy who can step in and make an immediate impact to the Canes to help them finally get to a playoff spot.

3. :habs Jesperi Kotkaniemi C Assat (Liiga)

It was pretty much set and stoned that the Habs were desperate for centers so they take the best one in the draft. Idk if he's ready Day 1, but I believe with time and patience he could become a very solid Top 6 guy. Knowing Montreal they'll rush him in.

4. :sens Brady Tkachuk LW Boston Univ. (NCAA)

Between him or Zadina I personally would've gone with Zadina but that's not knocking on Tkachuk. A good physical guy, with solid passing ability, and good in those puck battles on the boards. If Ottawa can sign him, he can definitely be a good 3rd liner for them this upcoming season.

5. :coyotes Barrett Hayton C Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds

o my god. I mean, they must think very highly on this guy, but jeez. To pass up on Zadina, Dobson, Hughes, Bouchard, and Wahlstrom. Just seems like a desperate move more than Montreal's. Who knows I might be wrong.

6. :wings Filip Zadina RW Halifax Mooseheads (QMJHL)

Congrats Red Wings fans, you might have ended up with one of the best scoring wingers in the draft. Although, this guy wanted to jump right into the lineup, Detroit may want him to develop a bit more unless he can prove himself in camp. IMO he's gonna make the 3 teams above him regret their decisions.

7. :nucks Quinn Hughes D Univ. of Michigan (NCAA)

I think for my past 3 mock draft I had Hughes going to the Nucks, and it just seemed like the best decision for them. Their current left side on their defense is pretty weak, so to add Hughes to that core will definitely help them in the future.

8. :hawks Adam Boqvist D Brynas IF (SHL)

I was a little shocked that the Hawks took Boqvist, but if he can live up to that comparison to Karlsson, the Hawks could've gotten a possible steal at #8.

9. :rangers Vitali Kravtsov RW Traktor Chelyabinsk (KHL)

Well I definitely didn't think he was a Top 10 Pick, but a lot of people have been praising this guy, also a full year in the KHL shows signs that he could end up being a very solid winger in the NHL. Also, the Rangers do love their Russians I expect this to be a solid pick.

10. :edmonton Evan Bouchard D London Knights (OHL)

Great pick for the Oilers. Bouchard is a power-play specialist, and with him to be able to play with a Connor McDavid on that power-play would be scary to see in the future.

11. / 12. :isles Oliver Wahlstrom RW U.S National U18 Team (USHL) / Noah Dobson D Acadie-Bathurst Titan (QMJHL)

HUGE STEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLSSSSSS!!!!!!!

13. :starsTy Dellandrea C Flint Firebirds (OHL)

Well holy crap. I don't know anybody who had Dellandrea to go #13, but in my honest opinion I do like the pick. Dellandrea is an absolute work-horse, puts in 110% effort, and to have the season like he did on a really bad OHL team, the Stars could have themselves a very solid forward for the future.

14. (STL) :flyers Joel Farabee LW U.S National U18 Team (USHL)

An amazing pick, I've always been very high on Farabee, and as a kinda Philly fan I'm very excited to see him play on the Flyers.

15. :panthers Grigori Denisenko LW Loko Yaroslavl (MHL)

I really don't know why the Cats passed up on Ty Smith, and they continue to draft forwards, but Denisenko looks like a very solid winger, but it'll be awhile till we see him as a Panther.

16. :avs Martin Kaut RW HC Dynamo Pardubice (Czech.)

Great pick for the Avalanche, a solid two-way winger no complaints with this pick.

17. :devils Ty Smith D Spokane Chiefs (WHL)

And another huge steal for a team, Ty Smith who I think I rated #10 on my rankings drops to New Jersey to help their defensive prospect group which is surely lacking in Top Prospects, and to be able to get one at #17 is an amazing pick.

18. :cbj Liam Foudy C/LW London Knights (OHL)

I think I openly said "WHAT!?!" when I saw this pick haha. Not saying that's it's a bad pick, but dang was it surprising. I'm a huge fan of Foudy so seeing him to be selected this high was a great feeling haha.

19. :flyers Jay O'Brien C Thayer Academy Tigers (USHS)

Another surprising pick IMO, but I don't think you hear many bad things about O'Brien's game. A guy who's a few years away from making the roster, but he has the potential of becoming a very solid Top 9 guy.

20. :kings Rasmus Kupari C Karpat (Liiga)

Good pick, nothing really to add on.

21. :sharks Ryan Merkley D Guelph Storm (OHL)

O boy, San Jose much not care about character issues at all. First locking up Kane to a massive contract, and now drafting a guy who everyone has been saying the only reason he has dropped from a possible Top 10 pick is because of his character issues. Total boom or bust pick. Let's hope this isn't another DeAngelo situation.

22. (PIT/OTT) :rangers K'Andre Miller D U.S National U18 Team (USHL)

TBH I was expecting them to move up for Veleno, but Miller is a great choice too. Big defensive defender, but I think he has very good upside, and I'm guessing the Rangers think that as well.

23. :ducks2 Isac Lundestrom C Lulea HF (SHL)

One of the safest picks to take. The guy is basically a future 3rd line center, but could have a bit more upside then that, but he'll be a very good two-way forward.

24. :wild Filip Johansson D Leksands IF (Allsvenskan)

Um? Okay. Idk too much about this guy, I think I saw him sometimes as a late first rounder in mock drafts, but Minny must see something else in him. Could be another Jacob Larsson, and Gabriel Carlsson type of pick. He does has the sson in his name lol.

25. (TOR) :bluesDominik Bokk LW Vaxjo Lakers (SHL)

Amazing selection, great move up by the Blues. One of my favorite players in the draft.

26. (BOS/NYR) :sens Jacob Bernard-Docker D Okotoks Oilers (AJHL)

Decent pick, I mean he did play in a weaker league, but I won't hold that against him, he should be a solid defense-man for the future.

27. (NSH) :hawks Nicolas Beaudin D Drummondville Voltigeurs (QMJHL)

Well since it was with Nashville's pick, I suspect him to do very well in the NHL. I didn't have him going in the 1st Round, but he looks like he could be a very good offensive d-man, and developing in Chicago could help him too. 2 defenders under 6 foot dang Chicago.

28. (TBL) :rangers Nils Lundkvist D Lulea HF (SHL)

I mean, they had to right? I think a good amount of people had this guy going as a possible Top 15 pick, so the Rangers could've gotten a very good defender w/ a late 1st.

29. (WPG/STL) :leafs Rasmus Sandin D Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds (OHL)

And there he goes, one of my favorite players in the draft. Leafs fans this dude could end up being better than Reilly. THATS RIGHT I SAID IT AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

30. (VGK) :wings Joe Veleno C Drummondville Voltigeurs (QMJHL)

O man, I didn't expect Veleno to drop this much. Congrats once again to the Wings, but I mean they did miss out on some very good defenders. I'm guessing they'll stock up on some in the later Rounds.

31. :caps Alexander Alexeyev D Red Deer Rebels (WHL)

Solid pick, and provides a need that the Caps need that they need for their defensive needs they also need Carlsson. need need need need need.

As a Chicago fan, I loved their picks, but Detroit and the Islanders had an amazing draft. I also am starting to realize that a lot of organizations are going off players pure potential, even if they aren't producing a whole lot. Ex: Hayton, Dellandrea.
