I usually say that the defining quality of a goalscorer is to know when to be and how to shoot. With that I mean, shot selection. Arvidsson is a great example of that. He's always in the right spot, and his shot selection is almost always the correct one for the opportunity. Some players are expected to be goalscorers because they can really rip it, and sometimes has ridiculous snipes. But the snipe chances are far fewer than the ones where you can't get a clean shot away and need to find a hole in the goalkeeper somehow anyway.
